It was speculated prior to the Buffalo Bills home playoff game today versus the Miami Dolphins that injured safety Damar Hamlin would attend or perhaps even lead the team on the field.
Instead, prior to the game, Hamlin tweeted that he wouldn’t be attending, but would offer support from home as he focuses on his recovery.
In the tweet, Hamlin also shared a video of himself tossing his gloves to fans at the end of a game prior to his injury.
“My heart is with my guys as they compete today! Supporting from home as I focus on my recovery. Nothing I want more than to be out there with them! LFG #BillsMafia,” Hamlin declared in the tweet.

As we reported yesterday, Bills QB Josh Allen recently described safety Damar Hamlin’s recovery as contributing to a “spiritual awakening” for him.
Allen was seen covering his face with his hands on the sideline after Hamlin collapsed during the Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
On the “Kyle Brandt’s Basement” podcast, Allen said of the positive updates that came in the days since, “It was kind of a spiritual awakening, really, for me.”
“I know for a lot of other people that maybe didn’t have the strongest belief, or wasn’t the biggest [or] strongest Christian followers,” Allen added.
Hamlin returned to the team’s facility yesterday and was seen in a picture on Bills linebacker Matt Milano’s Instagram story smiling with teammates.
The Bills also honored Hamlin with a series of tributes at the game last Sunday, wearing number “3” hats and patches.
