Dan Scavino, NRSC Troll Kamala Harris By Asking People to Sign ‘Welcome to the Border’ Card

In a tweet that was shared by Trump ally Dan Scavino ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to the southern border in El Paso, TX, a link was included asking supporters to sign a “Welcome to the Border” card.

The source of the card appeared to be the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and they asked for signees to offer their name, email address, and phone number.

In the text of the “card” they wrote:

DEAR KAMALA,

Nearly 150,000 family units were encountered for crossing the border illegally between March and May—in just Texas alone.

Previously deported sex offenders and an MS-13 gang member were apprehended by authorities after reentering America.

Human traffickers and drug smugglers have destroyed thousands of lives, including those of young children.

Your own administration was forced to admit that WALLS WORK.

Harris held a press conference during the visit and was subsequently fact checked after she tried to push some of the blame onto former President Donald Trump for the ongoing border crisis.

“FACT CHECK: In terms of unlawful crossings at the southwest border, this is false. 78,000 were encountered illegally trying to enter the US from Mexico in January when Biden took office. By March, 173,000. April: 178,000. May: 180,000. Highest monthly numbers in 21 years. In addition, Biden stopped turning away unaccompanied children, which has prompted more from countries other than Mexico to flee to the US He also stopped turning away most families So inheriting a system that isn’t capable of handling asylum seekers is not the full story.”

U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) sternly rebuked Harris’ suggestion that they had “inherited a tough situation.”

Boebert quote tweeted a video of Harris at the press conference and declared, “Kamala, you inherited the most secure border situation in history. “

“I dare you to say this to CBP, who are begging for help because of YOUR terrible open border policy. You didn’t even visit the actual border,” Boebert added.
