Yesterday the Washington Examiner reported that despite contradictory reports, indicted Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas now claims he never spoke to Trump. So while he and the Democrats are trying to associate President Trump with Parnas as he claims he knew all about President Trump’s plans with President Zelinsky in Ukraine, Trump says he only knows him from photo-op type scenarios.
Josh Dawsey posted a picture of Pam Bondi, former Florida Attorney General and Fox News contributor with Mr. Parnas captioned: “Is there anyone in DC who doesn’t have a picture with Lev Parnas?” See tweet below:

CNN’s Jake Tapper even went on record yesterday acknowledging that based on the trouble Parnas is in, he is not likely to be very credible. Tapper stated in fact, “we can’t ignore, Parnas has a serious credibility problem. He’s under indictment for campaign finance charges, uh, the foreign minister of Ukraine told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that he doesn’t trust a word Parnas is saying.” Tapper goes on to detail with dismay apparent on his face: “I see people out there on social media, Democrats, acting as if this guy is the second coming of Theodore Roosevelt”. The Washington Examiner reported yesterday about the conflicting stories of whether or not Parnas had actually spoken to Trump in detail, and it appears as though he, in fact, did not. See excerpt below:
Indicted businessman Lev Parnas said he did not speak directly with President Trump about a pressure campaign against Ukraine that sought to benefit Trump politically, despite earlier reports to the contrary.
Last November, CNN reported that Parnas told close associates he had spoken to Trump. “At one point during the party that night, Parnas and Fruman slipped out of a large reception room packed with hundreds of Trump donors to have a private meeting with the President and Giuliani, according to two acquaintances in whom Parnas confided right after the meeting,” CNN wrote.
“Eventually, according to what Parnas told his confidants, the topic turned to Ukraine that night,” the article continued. “According to those two confidants, Parnas said that ‘the big guy,’ as he sometimes referred to the President in conversation, talked about tasking him and Fruman with what Parnas described as ‘a secret mission’ to pressure the Ukrainian government to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter.”
The New York Times told a different story Wednesday, reporting: “Mr. Parnas said that although he did not speak with Mr. Trump about the efforts, he met with the president on several occasions and was told by Mr. Giuliani that Mr. Trump was kept in the loop.”
As the Senate trial looms, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi speculates about whether or not Lev Parnas is going to have enough dirt to get yet another special prosecutor, it seems as though the Democrats are grasping at anything they possibly can to tar and feather the president before the Senate trial.
This is all going on while the November 2020 election is just around the corner and the Democrats have yet to pick a solid front running in their primaries to challenge Trump, who has high support within the Republican party, and according to some polls, is gaining support among African Americans.
Although it can’t yet be proven, and may not be, one wouldn’t be too far stretched of mind to consider the possibility that Lev Parnas, under threat of prosecution, is just trying to act like he has more dirt on President Trump than he actually does, as he is seeking to get a break on his campaign finance charges. This would not be much different than the situation with the former personal attorney to President Trump, Michael Cohen, who claimed he had all kinds of dirt on the President and did a spectacular apology tour to try and avoid the long arm of the law himself.
