DeSantis Joins Trump For a Round of Sunday Morning Golf at Trump International Golf Club After GOP Summit

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump were spotted golfing in Florida at Trump International Golf Club this morning.

Images showed Trump having conversations with DeSantis during the outing and Trump was sporting a red “Make America Great Again” hat.

DeSantis was in town and spoke at the Republican National Committee’s weekend donor summit, which Trump also spoke at and didn’t hold back on his feelings about certain Republicans.

South Carolina America First Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tim Swain was one of the first to tweet about the news.

One Trump supporter who responded to Swain, Lessa FL, speculated about the 2024 presidential election and said, “Those two are awesome. Not sure Pres Trump would pick @GovRonDeSantis for VP because he’d already have Florida. Maybe Trump would pick @Jim_Jordan for VP because he is from Ohio. Love both for VP. I wonder if Trump will just support a @GovRonDeSantis ticket and not run.”

The Washington Examiner’s Rob Crilly tweeted, “Republican bigwigs are in Palm Beach – so who gets the most coveted golf playing partner this morning? I’m told it is Gov DeSantis who is playing golf with Donald Trump.”

A recent press conference by DeSantis has been garnering a lot of attention as he blasted the mainstream media for their coverage of him.

“These are smear merchants. they went for the smear and they’ve been caught red-handed. this is not over by any stretch of the imagination,” DeSantis said.

Trial lawyer Robert Barnes noted, “Desantis has been watching a lot of Trump speeches. Watch the gestures.”
