Devin Nunes Makes Move, Sues NBCUniversal Over ‘Hatred, Extreme Bias, Spite, and Ill-Will’ From MSNBC Host Rachel Maddow

U.S. Rep Devin Nunes (R-CA) who is chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and a staunch supporter of former President Trump’s, is making a major move. Technically, he is suing NBCUniversal over comments made by host Rachel Maddow.

Maddow is an ultra-left-leaning liberal Trump hater who competes to be a polar opposite of say, Tucker Carlson of Fox News for example. The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas says she and her employer “harbor an institutional hostility, hatred, extreme bias, spite and ill-will” toward Rep Nunes.

Nunes claims that Maddow’s extreme bias against him is because of his “emergence as the most prominent skeptic in Congress of Maddow’s marquee news narrative from 2017 to 2019: that the Trump campaign colluded with Russians to hack the 2016 presidential elections.”

One specific complaint was in reference to a March 18th show of Maddows. Maddow claimed Nunes refused to turn over a package to the FBI that was from a “suspected Russian agent”.

“Congressman Nunes has refused to answer questions about what he received from Andriy Derkach. He has refused to show the contents of the package to other members of the intelligence community,” the lawsuit states that she said. “He has refused to hand it over to the FBI which is what you should do if you get something from somebody who is sanctioned by the U.S. as a Russian agent.”

Nunes said he did give the package to the FBI and MSNBC didn’t ask him for comment, so he was unable to clear that possible mixup up. MSNBC has not commented as of now according to The Hill. Although Nunes has had other suits fail in the past, he is going forward with fighting back against something he feels is worth pushing back against.

Left-wing media hosts often face less scrutiny than other media because many fact-checkers are left-leaning themselves. It’s sad that we live in a society where facts are made official by people with mostly left-wing biases.

We will do our best to bring any updates to this story as they come forward.
