Former Governor Andrew Cuomo may not have thought his life could get any worse. His life just got worse. After being basically forced to resign, he is now being officially charged with a sex crime after tons and tons of allegations sunk his career, despite his infamous last name.
Cuomo is being charged with a misdemeanor sex crime for allegedly groping a woman at the Executive Mansion last year. You can read the official complaint here.
It appears the victim’s name is redacted. This crime is being charged in the Albany City court. NBC New York reported more details saying in part:
A copy of the complaint from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, obtained by News 4, alleges that Cuomo committed the misdemeanor act of forcible touching at his official residence on the afternoon of Dec. 7 last year.
“At the aforesaid date time and location the defendant Andrew M. Cuomo did intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly place his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim [redacted] and into her intimate body part. Specifically, the victims (sic) left breast for the purposes of degrading and gratifying his sexual desires, all contrary to the provisions of the statute in such case made and provided,” the complaint reads.

It’s good to see that even prominent Democrats aren’t above the law. But it’s sad that it took so much pressure to get to this point, assuming the allegations against Cuomo are true, of course.
Many might argue that someone like former President Donald Trump would have been in a lot more trouble by now.
Time will tell if more charges come and what comes of this charge as well. Stay tuned for possible updates.
