Donald Trump Jr. Spars With The View Hosts, Says Joy Behar Did Blackface

Donald Trump Jr. was a guest on ABC’s “The View” today. He was there to discuss his new book ‘Triggered’ and discuss his relationship with journalist Kimberly Guilfoyle. Out of the gate, one of the hosts brought up Donald’s tweet which included the name of the alleged ‘Trump-Ukraine’ whistleblower. The host stated that it ‘triggered’ her and many others that he displayed publicly the name of the alleged whistleblower.

The show continued with lots of back and forth on a variety of topics.  Trump Jr. says in the middle of some bantering “we’ve all done things that we regret, I mean, if we’re talking about bringing a discourse down, Joy, you’ve worn blackface”.

Whoopie Goldberg jumped in to defend Joy Behar by claiming that what Behar did wasn’t Blackface. The President’s son then brings up Goldberg’s claim that Roman Polanski is not a rapist. To end the exchange Goldberg dismissed the show for commercials. *Updated* You can see the ‘blackface’ clip in a tweet video from BlazeTV below.

Behar did dress up as a “beautiful African woman”, this all coming out earlier in the year when Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D) was in the news for a picture on his yearbook page that he admitted at the time was him in either blackface or KKK garb and has since recanted the claim. Behar admitted at the time to use of a shade of makeup to make herself appear darker when asked about how she darkened her complexion.

Goldberg was also involved with a blackface incident. Back in 1993, Goldberg was roasted. During the roast, her boyfriend at the time Ted Danson dressed in blackface and dropped vulgar jokes as well as the N-word. Danson is quoted as saying “I was told, The mayor’s coming, so be careful, don’t do any political jokes, just do n*** jokes.” Trump Jr. Retweeted a tweet that was part of a tweet chain with Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar’s alleged indiscretions highlighted in a photo and article.

In 2009, famous film director Roman Polanski was arrested in Switzerland and facing extradition back to the US after he fled the country back in 1978. This was to avoid sentencing for raping a 13-year-old girl. Goldberg commented on the whole thing “I know it wasn’t rape-rape. I think it was something else, but I don’t believe it was rape-rape. He pled guilty to having sex with a minor and he went to jail, and when they let him out he said ‘You know what, this guy’s going to give me 100 years in jail. I’m not staying’. And that’s why he left.”

We are living in a time of outrage culture. The point one may gather from this is that many people have done things that are currently considered to be controversial. Donald Trump Jr. believes his father and family is under constant attack. The book he is promoting is summarized as a “book that the leftist elites don’t want you to read — Donald Trump, Jr., exposes all the tricks that the left uses to smear conservatives and push them out of the public square, from online “shadow banning” to rampant “political correctness.”
