As we reported earlier, NBC News’ Kelly O’Donnell confirmed that the 45th President Donald Trump’s passports were returned after the raid of his Mar-a-Lago home.
O’Donnell has reported that the FBI acknowledged it had had the passports the same day Trump said on his social media platform that FBI agents who conducted the search on Aug. 8 took them.
The way it was presented, however, by both her and CBS News reporter Norah O’Donnell in separate tweets certainly made it seem like perhaps Trump was not being forthcoming about what took place.
U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) slammed the FBI and the Biden Administration for the seizure of Trump’s passports in a tweet earlier today.
“There are three branches of government, not four. Joe Biden’s federal police took Donald Trump’s passport. This is not tolerable,” Massie declared.
Massie later referenced how the mainstream media is having a tough time presenting the story in a follow-up quote tweet.
“Desperate media and bots having a hard time picking a Trump passport narrative,” Massie began.
Massie then listed the evolution of how the story has been presented and various narratives presented:
“They didn’t take it!”
“SOP for flight risk!”
“It belongs to the government!”
“They already gave it back!”
“FBI doesn’t work for POTUS!”
“They accidentally took it!”
“Judge signed off, all good!”
“Wray is Trump!”
There are three branches of government, not four.
