House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) is continuing to push the ‘anti-Bill Barr’ narrative since the release of the Trump-Ukranian phone call transcript turned out to be mostly a dud recently. Pelosi and other Democrats pushing for a Trump impeachment now think Attorney General Bill Barr, because he was mentioned in a phone call with President Trump and the Ukranian president, is now automatically disqualified in any investigations relating to the call, Ukraine and the potential Joe Biden connection.
Unfortunately for Pelosi, Bill Barr is unlikely to be recusing himself from anything anytime soon. We all know how that went for former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and William (Bill) Barr has a backbone that didn’t seem to exist with the former AG.
Pelosi said Barr’s Justice Department was part of a “cover-up” attempt inside the White House during an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Friday.
“He’s gone rogue,” Pelosi said of Barr. “Where they’re going is a a cover-up of a cover-up. I think it’s sad to have a Justice Department go so rogue. They have been for a while. Now it just makes matters worse.”
The whistleblower’s complaint, which was released Thursday, included an allegation that Barr “appears to be involved.” The Justice Department has denied that Barr spoke with Trump “about having Ukraine investigate anything related to” Biden or his son, in a statement on Wednesday.
Rep. Doug Collins (R) from Georgia hit back at Pelosi, tweeting the video clip of her words. He captioned the video with:
“The Speaker who tried to launch an impeachment inquiry without a House vote thinks the Attorney General has gone rogue for upholding the law?
Democrat logic fails to add up.”

While both parties try to raise money off of the current media frenzy from the whistleblower complaint, which is quite possibly much ado about nothing, except perhaps how this all will affect presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, the world keeps turning. President Trump continues to operate business as usual with one hand while he proverbially spars with his political enemies with the other.
