Elon Musk Confronts Adam Schiff, Accuses him of Using Fake ‘Hate Speech’ Statistics to Demonize his Twitter Ownership

Elon Musk today fired back at U.S. House Rep Adam Schiff (D-CA) after he claimed that “hate speech” was up on Twitter.

In a tweet, Schiff explained that “On Elon Musk’s Twitter: Slurs against Black people have tripled, slurs against women are up 33%, slurs against Jewish people are up 61%, and slurs against gay men are up 58%.”

“These numbers are abysmal and unacceptable. Today, @RepMarkTakano and I are demanding action,” Schiff insisted.

Musk denied the accusation from Schiff and told him in response, “False, hate speech impressions are actually down by 1/3 for Twitter now vs prior to acquisition @CommunityNotes.”

According to “The Hill,” Schiff and U.S. House Rep Mark Takano (D-CA) sent a letter to Musk to address the situation.

The letter cited data from the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) that showed that the number of tweets containing slurs has grown exponentially when compared to the 2022 average.

Musk wasn’t the only one to respond to the tweet, which was badly ratioed, as Fox News’ Jimmy Failla asked, “Any definitive proof of this?”

“Or is it like Russian Collusion?” Failla jested.

Musician Five Times August replied that he believes, “Adam Schiff posting lies is up 100%.” Another Twitter user added on and called it, “Shiffposting.”

Former GOP Congressional candidate David Giglio perhaps summed it up best as he suggested to Schiff, “If you hate it so much, leave.”
