After a large amount of Twitter employees have been reportedly laid off or have quit under the new leadership, many are complaining.
Democrats in Washington even want to “investigate” how a private company handles its reinvention. Many feel that is politically motivated because Democrats are against free speech by those who oppose them.
Many feel it’s politically motivated like the raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. We are simply speculating on what many Americans personal opinions are.
Many on Twitter are claiming that Twitter won’t last if it doesn’t have enough employees to run it. Owner Elon Musk doesn’t seem to think so and has been posting memes and jokes about it as others kvetch. U.S. House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) says of former Twitter employees:
“Shout out to all the workers at Twitter. You all built a vital place for connection and deserved so much better. Millions of people appreciate the space you built and the hard work that went into it. Thank you”
Elon Musk jokingly responded back, likely knowing it wasn’t about him with:
“You’re welcome”
According to Musk, there were many unnecessary expenses causing Twitter to lose money. His new Twitter will have en emphasis on running lean and mean and focusing on more free speech, while still acknowledging there must be some rules.
