A month ago, Tesla CEO Elon Musk triggered progressives Tesla with an epic dismissal of U.S. Sen Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in response to a tweet by the twice-failed presidential candidate.
A week prior to that, Musk had trolled U.S. Sen Ron Wyden (D-OR) after the four-term Senator called him out after Musk made a tweet proposing selling some stock to pay some taxes.
Needless to say, Musk’s selection as the 2021 TIME Person of the Year has yet again triggered progressives.
In its profile of Musk, TIME wrote, “Musk has spent a lifetime defying the haters; now, it seems, he’s finally in position to put them in their place. For 2021 was the year of Elon Unbound.”
In a tweet showing off the cover featuring Musk, the world’s richest man responded, “Thank you!”
Thank you!

Replies from the triggered progressives, however, weren’t so warm.
Verified liberal activist Rachel Vindman replied, “You have millions of followers so I hope you won’t mind that I have unfollowed you until you are serious again.”

Another verified left-wing activist Aaron Huertas shared a screenshot of the Wyden tweet and Musk response, asking sarcastically, “What sealed it for you? The union busting or this tweet?”

Yet another progressive activist Jordan Zakarin hopped in the replies and lectured TIME, “Your Person of the Year was forced to pay $100 million to two former workers for racial discrimination, is being sued by dozens more for the same thing, is also being sued for sexual harassment at Tesla, and was found guilty of union-busting. Good choice.”
