Elon Musk suspended a jet tracking account due to a scary situation involving his son and promised legal action against those who “supported harm” to his family.
After news broke that the account @elonjet was suspended, Musk announced in an initial tweet, “Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation.”
“This includes posting links to sites with real-time location info. Posting locations someone traveled to on a slightly delayed basis isn’t a safety problem, so is ok,” Musk declared.
After he received some pushback because he had previously said he wouldn’t ban that account, Musk then followed up by describing what happened to his son.
“Last night, car carrying lil X in LA was followed by crazy stalker (thinking it was me), who later blocked car from moving & climbed onto hood,” Musk explained.
Musk added that “Legal action is being taken against Sweeney & organizations who supported harm to my family.”

Legal action is being taken against Sweeney & organizations who supported harm to my family.
Fox Business reported that Jack Sweeney’s account was suspended early Wednesday, then briefly reinstated before being suspended once again later in the day.
The Central Florida University student who operated @Elonjet confirmed the initial suspension and posted a screenshot that shows that the account had been “permanently suspended” after “careful review.”
Sweeney accused Musk of hypocrisy in an interview with the Associated Press as he said that Musk “said this is free speech and he’s doing the opposite.”
The @Elonjet account had more than 526,000 followers the day prior to being suspended.
Sweeney previously told CNN in an interview that he was a fan of Musk and that he was tracking his plane as a “hobby.”
