Recently, U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez implied she may sell her Tesla. This comes after Elon Musk probably hurt her feelings on Twitter with his “I’m Shy” comments a couple of weeks ago. See more about that here:
More recently, Musk asked AOC to post a poll asking if politicians or billionaires are more popular. There was a continuation of the conversation in the replies thread. At one point, Musk responded to a Twitter user who first said:
“You literally rest her. Lol! Now the poor baby wants to sell her Tesla.”
Musk went on to reply:
“The degree to which the unions control the Dems is insane. It’s like watching a sock puppet “talk”, but the hand inside the sock is way too obvious!”

Elon Musk further went on to talk about taxes and the economy in multiple tweets. One other response to another Twitter user said that Musk thinks a possible recession may be good, because “raining money on feels” is bad for the economy.
“Yes, but this is actually a good thing. It has been raining money on fools for too long. Some bankruptcies need to happen. Also, all the Covid stay-at-home stuff has tricked people into thinking that you don’t actually need to work hard. Rude awakening inbound!”

It seems like, under the two-party system, many people like Musk don’t fit either one. However, Musk recently left the Democrat party for being too radical. We will see if his Twitter accusation succeeds in the coming months and what that may mean for the broader political conversation.
