Eric Adams Tells Trump Supporters Coming to NYC to ‘Control’ Themselves, Singles Out MTG as Someone Who is ‘Known to Spread Misinformation and Hate Speech’

New York City Mayor Eric Adams delivered a partisan message today to Trump supporters telling them to “control” themselves if they come to the city to protest the indictment of the former president.

Adams also singled out U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) as someone who is “known to spread misinformation and hate speech.”

“Control yourselves. New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger. We are the safest large city in America,” Adams insisted.

In response, one Twitter user pointed out, “During the George Floyd riots they told cops to stand down while looting occurred. Never forget that.”

As we previously reported, Greene has announced a plan to peacefully rally in support of Trump in New York on Tuesday.

The New York Republican Club shared a tweet that included a video reporting on the announced rally that will take place at noon on Tuesday, April 4th at Collect Pond Park.

Greene declared in a tweet on Saturday, “Join me this Tuesday in New York City to protest the political persecution of President Donald J. Trump by Soros-backed DA Alvin Bragg. Have your MAGA hats ready.”

In a quote tweet of the New York Young Republican Club’s tweet, Greene elaborated, “Protesting is a constitutional right and I am going to NY on Tuesday to protest this unprecedented abuse of our justice system and election interference.”

“I also reject any attempt and anyone who dresses in MAGA but incites violence or commits violence while pretending to be one of us. You are not one of us, you are one of them,” Greene insisted.

Greene added, “We will not live in fear and we will lawfully stand against tyranny and corruption while we show our support for President Trump.”
