It was reported earlier on Twitter by Townhall reporter Julio Rosas that “CNN has put up a fence outside its HQ after the building was attacked during the riots in Atlanta a few weeks ago.”
Eric Trump mocked the decision by saying “CNN built a ‘wall!'” He continued by saying, “I guess that ends that debate… I wonder if President Trump will get an apology.”

We had previously reported on how the headquarters were damaged last months in the protests over the death of George Floyd. It seems that most of that damage has now been repaired, although it’s unclear if the boarded up windows are from that incident or in preparation for this weekend.
From the Washington Examiner:
Rosas confirmed that both private and public security were protecting the CNN building as massive crowds march in Atlanta. Rosas told the Washington Examiner that the protests have been peaceful so far.
Thousands of protesters poured into the streets of the Georgia capital today to commemorate the death of Brooks, a 27-year-old black man who was killed during a traffic stop on June 12.
