Trump-hating Democrat Jon Stewart is no Republican by any means. But despite the fact that some left-wing lunatics think Joe Rogan is a ”gateway to the far-right”, Stewart believes he’s a good-faith actor just having conversations and trying to be genuine.
I don’t think even right-wingers are expecting Rogan to become a MAGA hat-wearing Trump rally attendee either. But in today’s world, a moderate is generally viewed as somewhat right-wing in our view. This means left-wing tattle tale activists want his voice silenced.
That is how far gone the left is. Those who generally disagree with Republicans are trying to be the voice of reason. Recently even Mike Brzinzki said cancel culture is going too far. But she only said it because it was happening to Whoopi Goldberg of “The View”.
After Neil Young and other actors threatened to pull their music from Spotify if they don’t pull Joe Rogan, Stewart was an unlikely supporter of Rogan’s.
“There’s no question that there is egregious misinformation that’s purposeful and hateful, and that being moderated is a credit to the platforms that run them,” the former late-night comedy host said. “But this overreaction to Rogan, I think, is a mistake.”
Stewart feels Rogan should be “engaged” with. “I think there are dishonest bad actors in the world and identifying those is so much more important to me.”

In our view, this doesn’t mean Stewart is “coming around”. It means some on the left have gone way, way too far.
The main reason people are angry at Rogan allegedly is “Covid-19 misinformation” but we think there’s more to it.
There are different lists of who is pulling their content from Spotify and who is supporting Rogan. You almost need a scorecard to keep up with it. We think Rogan will win in the end, but time will tell.
