It was announced on Wednesday that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will step down as the Republican Leader of the Senate in November.
Fox News contributor and civil rights activist Leo Terrell celebrated the announcement in a series of posts on X as he called it “Fantastic news.”
“RINO Mitch McConnell is stepping down as Senate GOP leader. I am happy. He was a big-time Trump hater. Good riddance,” Terrell declared in the first post.
Terrell suggested in the next post, “Time to celebrate! Mitch McConnell has resigned as GOP Senate Leader effective November 2024! Hey Mitch, step down today instead of November! #TRUMP2024ToSaveAmerica“
“Mitch McConnell will be remembered as a Trump’s Hater! #TRUMP2024ToSaveAmerica,” Terrell said in another post and in a separate post, “Hey Mitch McConnell. Newsflash! President Trump is the leader of the Republican Party!”
“RINO #MitchMcConnell betrayed President Trump! #TRUMP2024ToSaveAmerica,” Terrell insisted.
Terrell pointed out, “Watching RINO #MitchMcConnell on Television. He did not say one word about President Trump. Shameful! Go away Mitch! #Trump2024“
“The next GOP Senate Leader must be a member of #MAGA!” Terrell added and said, “President Trump: Please announce your choice for GOP Senate Leader!”
The news about McConnell stepping away from his leadership role was kept under wraps until just prior to the announcement and he will continue to serve as a Senator.
