Five For Fighting Rock Star Risks Career, Speaks Out Against Afghanistan Failures on Fox News, Promotes Controversial Anti-Biden Song

Five for Fighting’s John Ondrasik says if a Republican was failing in the Middle East as bad as Joe Biden has in his view, he would be critical of them too. He feels that there would be less censorship though if that were the case. Ondrasik went on Fox News today to tell Martha McCallum about a song he released a few months ago.

He performed the song live on the air as well, although the video below is just the interview, with the song from YouTube below that if you’re interested in watching.

MacCallum mentioned the 13 Americans killed in Afghanistan amid the botched pullout under President Biden. “What do you hope can make a difference in this song now, given this administration’s inaction on a lot of this?” she asks.

Ondrasik: “You know I think Afghanistan is different than the political talk of the day. Afghanistan goes to our moral soul as a country and who we are. And I think it’s a question that has not been answered. It’s important for me that Afghanistan still be on the front foot, obviously, we have the humanitarian crisis, we have a moral crisis of “does America’s word matter?” And we have a national security crisis and I think we’re seeing that with Putin and Xi, and certainly, if you abandon your citizens to the Taliban our adversaries notice. So there’s a lot of facets to this, and I also want to support our veterans, especially those who are doing the right thing, trying to rescue those that we abandoned.”

Ondrasik tweeted to his fans before going on Fox News, where he received at least some supportive comments as you can see below:

“I will be joining @marthamaccallum in the next hour to talk about Afghanistan and perform Blood on my Hands.”

“Just watched you on the @ marthamaccallum show. Thanks for keeping this relevant and a great performance of your song”

Here’s the full song, back on YouTube after allegedly being censored, now with comments turned off:

Five for Fighting’s John Ondrasik is also known for “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” in case you’re wondering if you’ve heard of him or not. Watch:

Many artists and actors risk their careers speaking out against Democrats. Hopefully, Ondrasik isn’t “canceled” for his anti-Biden views.
