John Prine, considered one of America’s greatest folk singer-songwriters died Tuesday in Nashville from complications related to the Coronavirus. His death was confirmed by his publicist, on behalf of his family. He was 73 years old.
A Facebook post on Sunday, March 29th said that he had a sudden onset of symptoms on Thursday, the 26th, and was hospitalized. He was then placed on an incubator the night before the post, March 28th.
The family then updated again Friday April 3rd, saying that he had pneumonia in both lungs and needed quite a bit of help breathing.
