Former National Intelligence Director Refutes Claim that Three Similar Balloons Passed by U.S. Under President Trump

The Hill and others have reported that the U.S. Military has apparently tried to run cover for Joe Biden after the China “spy” balloon fiasco and before Americans know everything.

“PRC [People’s Republic of China] government surveillance balloons transited the continental United States briefly at least three times during the prior administration and once that we know of at the beginning of this administration but never for this duration of time,” said a senior defense official. “We spoke directly with Chinese officials through multiple channels, but rather than address their intrusion into our airspace, the PRC put out an explanation that lacked any credibility.”

Former DNI and Republican John Ratcliffe has disputed this.

“I can refute it. Former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper refuted it yesterday. Former Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo has refuted it.” WATCH: Former DNI John Ratcliffe debunks the claim that Chinese spy balloons occupied airspace during the Trump administration.”

It seems that some things about balloons, whether from China or exactly the same situation as this week’s or not, may be classified. Some Americans feel like their intelligence is insulted by the government keeping so much information from them.

The government may or may not feel like their hands are tied as the classified nature may prevent them from even being able to explain why it has to kept so under wraps.

One thing that seems for sure is that Joe Biden and the Democrats/uniparty “Republicans” are embarrassed and want to run a new narrative.
