Former WWE legend Bill Goldberg has spoken out since the Super Bowl. Many independent thinking conservatives such as myself have boycotted the NFL altogether ever since they kneeled for the national anthem, and in the opinion of many, disrespected the flag of the United States of America.
The subsequent renaming of the Washington Redskins football team was another nail in the coffin for many such as myself in particular. However, according to ratings, and comparing them to how many people vote in national elections, it’s clear that many conservatives who boycotted the NFL previously have gone back to watching, and some others may not have ever boycotted it at all.
Boycotts definitely still did hurt the NFL for a period of time, and it seems that the random “wokeness” out of the prominent league and its various teams has subsequently ebbed and flowed. Nevertheless, it’s clearly still an important and newsworthy thing to report on when things happen regarding the games, especially the Super Bowl, that are of cultural relevance, and even those who don’t watch may still be interested in such news.
As such, we’ve continued to report on various random news items about the NFL. Most recently, WWE’a Goldberg spoke out saying he didn’t like Rihanna’s crotch grabbing halftime dance. The New York Post covered the scoop as well, reporting in part:
During a recent episode of his “CarCast” podcastwith Matt “The Motorator” D’Andria, Goldberg didn’t hold back when he said he thought Rihanna’s performance was “frickin’ horrible.”
“I mean I was disgusted by it. That’s all. Let’s just say that. I thought it was horrible,” Goldberg said, to which D’Andria added that he “wasn’t a fan.”
Former President Donald Trump also didn’t like the show.
“EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst halftime Show in Super Bowl history — This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language. Also, so much for her “Stylist!”
Many are already moving on from the football season until next year. Time will tell what that brings.
