GOP FL Congressman Byron Donalds Demands Biden’s Resignation Over ‘Botched’ Afghanistan Withdrawal

U.S. House Rep Byron Donalds (R-FL) today issued a statement where he demanded that President Joe Biden resign over his “botched” Afghanistan withdrawal.

In a tweet, Donalds explained that “Calling on the leader of the free world to resign his office immediately weighs heavy on my heart, but this must happen to restore American’s safety both at home & abroad, our honor, & faith in the Chief Executive to faithfully execute the duties of the presidency.”

“President Joseph R. Biden has abdicated his responsibility and duties entrusted to him as President of the United States. This blatant abdication of his office is grounds for President Biden to resign immediately,” Donalds said in the statement.

Donalds continued, “It has become clear that President Biden has lost complete and total confidence of the American people through his haphazard decision to withdraw from Afghanistan. This botched withdrawal is currently threatening the lives of our servicemen and women, the stability in the region, and our integrity on the global stage.”

“Calling on the leader of the free world to resign his office immediately weighs heavy on my heart, but this must happen to restore American’s safety both at home & abroad, our honor, & faith in the Chief Executive to faithfully execute the duties of the Presidency,” Donalds concluded in the statement.

In a recent tweet, Donalds shared a video compilation and part of his statement where he explained, “As Commander-in-Chief, Biden is responsible for commanding our brave troops with a coherent, strategically intelligent, & sound operation that keeps our Armed Services, citizens, & allied partners out of harm’s way. He has FAILED on all fronts.”

According to The Floridian, Donalds recently said, “Ladies and gentlemen, Joe Biden is just the tip of the spear. Think about this, Joe Biden as nutty as he is, is on his way out the door. “He ain’t going to be around for much longer folks.”

“One way or the other, he ain’t going to be around much longer. But in 7 months, he’s destroyed our foreign policy, our allies don’t trust us, the Russians are getting more oil, we’re getting less, our southern border is a mess, some of our kids don’t learn in school—look at our country, and it only took 7 months,” Donalds reportedly added, elaborating on the earlier statement.

Breitbart reported earlier that Biden walked away from White House reporters asking him questions about thousands of Americans still stranded in Afghanistan.

Biden delivered a speech at the White House about the coronavirus vaccine getting full approval from the Food and Drug Administration, urging everyone to get vaccinated, but did not mention the crisis in Afghanistan once in his speech.

One reporter asked as Biden walked away, “Do you know how many Americans are left in Afghanistan sir?”

Reporter: “How many Americans are left in Afghanistan, Mr. President?”
