Jill Biden’s Press Secretary Lashes Out at Fox News Host Rachel Campos-Duffy Over Critical Comments, Wants Apology

Over the weekend, Fox News Host and wife of former Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) Rachel Campos-Duffy was critical of First Lady Jill Biden allowing her husband to run for president “in this mental state that he’s in.”

“(Some can) wonder who are the people responsible for putting someone (Joe) this incompetent and frankly this, you know, mentally frail, in this position, um and that’s, yes of course the media and many people are saying and you had some people on your show this week that were suggesting it was Susan Rice, and Obama, and maybe Valerie Jarrett.”

“I’m sorry as a political spouse, I can’t help but look at Jill Biden. No one knew better his state of mind than Jill, Dr. Jill Biden, and if you ask me the most patriotic thing Jill Biden could have done was to tell her husband, to, to love her husband and not let him run in these, in this mental state that he’s in. I think she failed the country as well.”

“When you look at what’s hurting America, when you look at this lack of leadership, and you wonder who is responsible for putting someone this incompetent and frankly this mentally frail in this position?”

The statements received a lot of pushback on Twitter and eventually, the First Lady’s press secretary, Michael LaRosa issued a tweet in response, lashing out at Campos-Duffy and asking for an apology.

“This is disgusting. @RCamposDuffy and @FoxNews know better. They can do better and their viewers deserve better. I hope they’ll apologize to the First Lady and leave this kind of talk in the where it belongs,” LaRosa insisted.

Many on the left were critical as well, defending the First Lady, who has a higher favorability rating than the president, and some brought up the former president Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump.

BLM activist “Kate” claimed in a tweet, “Fox News is blaming Jill Biden for allowing someone in her husbands “mental state” to run for office. If that’s the case, it’s time to arrest Melania Trump for allowing a narcissistic, fascist, dictator wannabe f**k up our country for 4 years.”

BrooklynDad_Defiant suggested, “Nobody blamed Melania trump for her idiot husband inviting Taliban to Camp David, or his deal to release 5,000 Taliban fighters. Stop trying to blame Jill Biden for what’s happening in Afghanistan.”

Trump supporter Juanita Broaddrick pointed out, however, that she had tweeted out on Thursday, “Jill Biden knew Joe wasn’t capable of being President. The whole family knew. Their selfish motives for encouraging and allowing this Buffoon on the world stage should haunt them forever.”

“Jill Biden trending……..she knew he wasn’t capable of being President. I still believe whole family shares blame,” Broaddrick said in a quote tweet of her original tweet.
