In a tweet today, U.S. Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) slammed Joe Biden after he didn’t rule out easing sanctions on Venezuela.
The comments from Biden come after reports Wednesday night suggested his administration was looking to loosen sanctions on Venezuela in order to allow U.S. oil companies to resume pumping there.
Gooden wondered in the tweet, “11,000 Keystone XL pipeline workers or Venezuela?”
“Joe Biden chose a socialist dictator over American workers,” Gooden lamented.

Joe Biden chose a socialist dictator over American workers.
On his first day in office, Biden revoked the permit for the pipeline and Republicans have been fighting since then to get him to reverse course.
When asked today by reporters whether he would consider turning to Venezuela to help ease oil demand, Biden responded, “There’s a lot of alternatives.”
“We haven’t made up our mind yet,” Biden added.
Biden also told the reporters that he was “disappointed” with OPEC for its decision to slash oil production.
Gas prices have spiked by as much as 40 cents since that announcement was made yesterday.
