Gowdy Crushes Pelosi’s Dreams of Another Special Prosecutor After She Calls Bill Barr a Rogue Actor

Yesterday, Fox News contributor Trey Gowdy went on Martha McCallum’s “The Story” to talk about the “latest and greatest” in the President Trump impeachment fiasco as it stands. At the beginning of the Fox News clip that can be seen below, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in a recent speech, rants about how she thinks that if a special prosecutor is needed, again, based on new evidence because she thinks Attorney General Bill Barr will act as a rogue actor and block any investigation into President Trump.

Pelosi, of course, didn’t actually give a reason as to why there would be a need for a special prosecutor to begin with and as Gowdy starts off the clip, “that’s a lot of ifs”. Lev Parnas, the indicted Rudy Giuliani associate, has apparently “flipped” on Trump and Rudy, claiming that President Trump knew all along, everything that was going on with the alleged push to get Ukrainian President Zelinsky to investigate former vice president Joe Biden. This is all tied back to the July 25th phone call that a whistleblower alleged Trump broke protocol with. President Trump has since released the transcript of that call and claims it was “perfect”.

Pelosi hints that if Lev Parnas actually has any provable evidence against Trump, which is just an if, that there would be a special prosecutor need, which is what kicked off the speculations to begin with. That is when she goes after Bill Barr based on a “what if” scenario, calling him a rogue Attorney General, offering no proof or evidence of that, other than he has been more friendly to President Trump and arguably, the truth than the angry Democrats who want Trump impeached and removed. Pelosi then calls Barr one of President Trump’s henchmen.

Gowdy on Pelosi: “There’s a lot of ifs in that sentence, I thought it was maybe a logic question initially. There has to be a crime, for a special counsel to be appointed. You’re not appointed to look into your political enemies, there has to be a crime.”

Gowdy goes on to comment about Pelosi’s mention of Attorney Generall Barr: “The only crimes that I have heard alleged against Bill Barr is that his name was mentioned in a transcript in a conversation he did not participate in, and most recently, that he may be friends with Rudy Giuliani, Victoria Toensing, and Joe DiGenova. I’m almost positive that being friends with those three people is not a crime…” “I know she’s (Pelosi) upset because he’s a really smart, good lawyer, but that’s not good reason to call for a special counsel.” Check out the full clip below where Gowdy quips that Barr has a good reputation, and isn’t under indictment anyway:

Recently Nancy Pelosi cited in a tweet a GAO (General Accountability Office) report aiming to take down Trump some more by “confirming” wrongdoing in a tweet she posted. ZeroHedge reported on the GAO story in part:

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that the Trump administration violated the Impoundment Control Act (ICA), which “does not permit the President to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law,” according to a Thursday report.

Of note, the GAO has reached similar conclusions against both Bush administrations and the Clinton administration. In December of 2018, the agency concluded that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) withheld $95 million from the Coast Guard – funds which were eventually released.

Mark Levin on Hannity last night, slammed that and other things in a monumental rant against the Democrats, calling them hypocritical and pointing to things that former President Bill Clinton did that could have been hyped up back then as much worse than anything President Trump did (in Levin’s opinion) and asks where was Pelosi then. A version of the Levin clip can be seen below the Pelosi tweet in a video clip from Media Right on Facebook.

Levin says “Back in the 1990s, we had a president by the name of Bill Clinton. He was impeached, but he wasn’t impeached for what I’m about to talk about. He was running for re-election, the media really didn’t care that much about this scandal that broke. The LA Times and a few others did, and here’s what they wrote. The chief of China’s military intelligence, secretly directed funds from Bejing, to help re-elect President Clinton in 1996”. He goes on with more details in the video below the Pelosi tweet, all this to highlight what many see to be a double standard in the efforts to “takedown” President Trump.
