Greene Calls Pelosi ‘The Speaker of the House of Hypocrites’ Over 2017 Tweet Claiming ‘Our Election Was Hijacked’

With the House of Representatives and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) moving forward with articles of impeachment against President Trump for what they are claiming to be incitement involving the incident last Wednesday at the Capitol, House Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has come out swinging.

Tonight, she quote tweeted a May 2017 tweet by the Speaker that many could interpret as being incitement and came less than a month before House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) was shot by a deranged left-wing activist and “fueled by rage against Republican legislators.”

Pelosi said in the tweet, “Our election was hijacked. There is no question. Congress has a duty to #ProtectOurDemocracy & #FollowTheFacts.”

Greene said in the quote tweet, “The Speaker of the House of Hypocrites sure would hate for you to RT this.”

As Mollie Hemingway at “The Federalist” noted in November 2020 after the most recent presidential election, the claim was “presumably regarding the Russia collusion hoax the media and other partisan activists perpetrated on the American people.”

Conservative activists and others have recently responded to the tweet, with Mark Dice offering a sarcastic response: “InCiTiNg ViOlEnCe.”

Rogan O’Handley deadpanned, “Holy crap I agree with the village drunk.”

“Soon President” pointed out, “This was Speaker Pelosi’s tweet , calling the election rigged. But official sources called this differently! But it wasn’t flagged.”
