We reported earlier about how Shaun King compared a gun-wielding St Louis couple protecting their home to people who “watched lynchings.” King’s message has apparently got through to them as they have released a statement blaming white agitators for “the trepidation” and saying they stand with Black Lives Matter.

Mark McCloskey also gave an interview with the local KSDK News regarding the incident and said that “The only thing that stopped the crowd from approaching the house was when I had that rifle.”
He said he has had to turn his phone off and board up his office because there have been “threats against the building.” He also said he is getting thousands of emails and will have to take down his website.
