Harvey Weinstein was sentenced earlier this month to 23 years on a myriad of charges that he forced himself upon several women. Today it was announced that he tested positive for the Coronavirus.
The outlet that reported the news said that Weinstein is in isolation at Wende Correctional Facility in western New York.
Officials told the local newspaper that Weinstein is one of two Wende inmates who have tested positive for the virus, which causes a disease known as COVID-19.
On Twitter, many Democrats were shocked that he was able to obtain a test when some have been unable to across the country. Of course, those people are able to self-isolate, whereas it is important to know if a prisoner tests positive as it takes more taxpayer resources to isolate prisoners.

I have a friend who's pregnant & has symptoms. She tested negative for Flu & Strep but can't get a test for coronavirus?
BUT HARVEY WEINSTEIN GOT A TEST?!?
They should have isolated him but why waste a precious test on him?!?? https://t.co/VVIRMmke2u
Ironically, 3/4 of ‘The Squad’ (AOC, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib) and another Democrat House rep, Nydia Velazquez, had recently written a “letter to the Director of the Fed. Bureau of Prisons asking for a plan to prevent an outbreak. Prisoners are especially susceptible to #COVID19 due to poor sanitation and close proximity.”

Left-wing civil rights lawyer Kristen Clarke made it clear which prisoners people should be worried about, “While some talk Harvey Weinstein, let’s talk about the systemic crisis underway at Rikers where 21 inmates, 12 jail employees and 5 correctional health workers have tested positive for Coronavirus. No doubt, all of those impacted are disproportionately Black and brown people.”

It is unfortunate that even in times of crisis, political agendas are served loud and clear from the left, while what’s best for public safety gets put on the back burner.
