Hillary Clinton’s Pal Terry McAuliffe Cancels Event in Largest Virginia City a Day Before the Gubernatorial Election

Polls have been showing a tightening Virginia Gubernatorial race in recent weeks. Although Republicans have gone from almost no chance to definitely having some chance of winning, the election is definitely not in the bag. Virginia is by and large a blue state.

It will take a perfect storm of high Republican turnout, low Democrat turnout, and a general distaste for Terry McAuliffe and his wacky opinion that parents shouldn’t be telling schools what to teach their children. As we recently reported:

Polls have remained tight since that report. Now, Terry McAuliffe has apparently canceled a meet and greet event the day before the election in Virginia Beach, the largest city in Virginia.

While this certainly doesn’t mean that his Republican opponent Glenn Youngkin has the wind at his back, it’s certainly not a good look for Terry, a friend of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers, who has a national audience, is closely watching the Virginia race and is calling for news anchors to hold their fodder on making any calls too early, especially since it’s predicted that mail-in ballots, in part, could cause a delay in the vote counting.

The Washington Times reported in part:

Mr. McAuliffe was scheduled to hold a rally in Hampton Roads but now will head to a different location.

The McAuliffe campaign did not immediately respond to a Washington Times inquiry as to why the event was canceled or where the candidate will be heading instead.

Republican nominee Glenn Youngkin is still expected to be in Virginia Beach on Monday evening for a get-out-the-vote rally.

Mr. McAuliffe, who campaigned in Roanoke and Richmond, is expected to end his day in Fairfax County.

Although this is a Virginia election, all eyes will be on this race tomorrow, and the next day if the vote tally does indeed get delayed. While we do expect the Democrats to get a win in the Governor’s race, anything can happen. Additionally, the Republicans are hoping to scrap back some house seats as well, and we will soon know how successful they are in this endeavor.

With Demographics favoring the Democrats in a big way and growing, a Republican win would be an upset and send a real message that Joe Biden is failing badly. Some even say that if McAuliffe does win, but by a slim margin, it may still be bad news for the Democrats in 2022.

That means that “Terry and friends” will need a huge win tomorrow to keep the Democrats enthusiastic for the next round of elections. Much speculation has been made about tomorrow’s election and many will be relieved to get it over with regardless of the outcome. Stay tuned for more updates on this story and more.
