Ilhan Omar Laughs At Suggestion Trump Could Win Minnesota: ‘Tough Luck, It is Not Going to Happen’

Minnesota Democratic House Rep Ilhan Omar appeared yesterday on MSNBC’s AM Joy show and was asked about President Trump’s chances in Minnesota which she claimed are non-existent.

Jonathan Capehart asked Omar, “How likely do you think he could move Minnesota into the Republican column, does he have a chance?”

The Congresswoman responded by saying “I say tough luck, it’s not going to happen. In 2016 he came two days before the election and spoke of his hate for everything Minnesota stands for and we sent a message by rejecting him.”

Omar continued, “And this time around we are going to send another clear message that Donald Trump isn’t welcome in Minnesota and Minnesotans are greater than fear.”

“The amount of enthusiasm that we are seeing in our state in regards to voter turnout is just amazing. Just in my district, which is why Trump has chosen to attack me in our state, the Democratic power in our state runs through the 5th district,” she bragged.

Later on in the interview, Omar said, “I have never imagined in my entire life in the United States that we would be having a conversation about elections being unsafe. Our democracy being threatened this way. And have a president in the White House not stating he will peacefully transition power.”

Today, Omar tweeted out that “If a Muslim woman was nominated to SCOTUS you would see Republicans lose their mind about her religious background… “Sharia law” would be trending right now. Miss me with the pearl-clutching and all this righteous talk about religious freedom.”

California Congressional candidate Errol Webber asked in response, “So you’re admitting you could give a damn about religious freedom? Wow.”
