In Last-Minute Decision, Charlottesville Removes Lewis & Clark/Sacagawea Statue with Little Community Input in Addition to Planned Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson Removal

Charlottesville, Virginia has been ruled by radical left-wing Democrats in the city council and Mayoral office for some time now. For years, rabid left-wingers have demanded that Robert E. Lee be removed from Lee Park, now renamed Emancipation Park due to political correctness. That park is where the Unite the Right Rally occurred in 2017 that Democrats fundraised on and Joe Biden used as a talking point when he officially launched his presidential bid. Many blame the monument itself for the disastrous rally and the removal of the monument.

But monuments, like guns, don’t do anything without people at the helm. The monument to Robert E. Lee, for example, had been there since 1924 and never hurt anyone until woke Democrats demanded its removal starting around 2016 or so. Charlottesville also removed a Stonewall Jackson monument this week that had been there since 1921.

What people didn’t expect, as bad as all this is to begin with, is that a monument to Lewis & Clark with Sacagawea would be removed with an emergency meeting and little community input other than those who went to the emergency meeting. This is ridiculous and the entire country should be outraged but most are too concerned with other things to even be paying attention. Soon, Democrats will be able to remove any history they want around the nation with no real pushback.

Glenn Youngkin, the GOP nominee for the upcoming governor race in Virginia hasn’t said anything on his Facebook page about it in the last few days. If he made comments elsewhere in the recent past, we aren’t aware of it. Reports show that he is trying to court moderates, and is even trying to stay away from talking about abortion too much, so as to not dissuade possible pro-choice voters.

Corey Stewart ran for Governor in 2017 and U.S. Senate in 2018. In 2018 he became the GOP Nominee but lost to Tim Kaine. He campaigned on stopping the removal of monuments but apparently, there were too many Democrats in the Northern Virginia region for him to pull off a win against Democrat Tim Kaine. Even in red states like Texas though, weak Republicans have been letting this happen. Don Huffines is running for Governor against Gregg Abbott with this as one of his talking points.

Time will tell if any of this historical monument removal nonsense will ever stop or if it will continue until there is nothing left. Even the GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) voted to removed monuments in DC. His only pushback was the useless and weak claim that some of them were Democrats and that Democrats are trying to hide their past. But he did nothing to actually try to stop the removal of historical monuments.

The Virginia Flaggers have been pushing back hard against this in Virginia, but since Democrats are in charge of the state, they haven’t been able to completely stop this. They do fly Confederate flags on private property to honor the heritage of many of their members and as an act of defiance towards the anti-White Democrat party and continue to log and document everything that has been happening, one step at a time.

“After years of legal battles, against the wishes of the majority of the citizens of the Commonwealth, at the expense of her taxpayers, and because democrats finally took control of our legislature and immediately repealed our law protecting war memorials, the radical leftist regime in Charlottesville is finally getting their wish to destroy the majestic Lee and Jackson memorials, placed there by Charlottesville’s citizens over 100 years ago. They are coming down today. We are thankful for all those who have fought the good fight that kept the monuments standing for years after City Council voted to remove them, much to the dismay of the terrorists in Charlottesville, and while our hearts are heavy, we remain ever confident in our future, knowing that while evil may have the upper hand for a moment, God is firmly in control. While the heathens rage, we are comforted by the knowledge that the names of Lee and Jackson will be spoken with reverence and honor by true Virginians long after those who are behind these violent and hateful attacks on our history and heritage are long gone and forgotten. With the removal of these memorials today, the Va Flaggers are stepping up our search for property in Charlottesville for a new roadside memorial battle flag site for each memorial destroyed. If you have land that may be available for use, PLEASE contact us at vaflaggers@gmail.comGod bless the eternal memories of Lee and Jackson, and God Save the South! Democrats also documented Saturday’s removals but largely mocked and celebrated, not taking into consideration all the pain and division that is being caused among those who just want to honor their heritage and keep the nation the same as it’s been for over a hundred years.

Apparently, a fourth statue is slated to come down on the watch of the radical leftists in Charlottesville, Virginia:

Ian MacDonald
