‘It Is Not Happening’ Wendy Rogers Shoots Down Report That Pence is Fueling Speculation on a 2024 Presidential Bid

First it was Hillary Clinton, now there is a report that former Trump Vice President Mike Pence is fueling speculation on a 2024 presidential bid.

Pence visited New Hampshire last week and has made stops in other high-profile early primary states which is fueling the speculation.

As The Hill noted, there questions about whether Pence can win over the GOP voters he angered on Jan. 6 when he certified the 2020 presidential election results.

Arizona GOP State Sen Wendy Rogers took a stand tonight against the suggestion that Pence would have a chance as she declared in a quote tweet of the report, “It is not happening.”

Pence, however, does appear to have won back some good will as a recent poll has him in second place behind Trump in a 2024 GOP primary.

Of course, he is positioned way behind Trump, and in a separate question, he came in behind Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis if Trump wasn’t running.

A remarkable 67 percent chose Trump when asked which GOP candidate Republican voters would vote for in such a primary if he was running.

Pence was the runner-up with nine percent, and DeSantis came in third with eight percent.

DeSantis received 30 percent versus Pence’s 25 percent with Trump not on the ballot.

Texas U.S. Sen Cruz also tallied 13 percent with Trump not on the ballot.
