In a tweet today, U.S. House Rep Troy Nehls (R-TX) echoed the words of his fellow GOP Rep Thomas Massie (KY) regarding the Jan. 6 House Select Committee.
As we reported yesterday, Massie scolded the committee because “The one person on film telling people to go into the Capitol (multiple times) disappears from FBI list and is not even mentioned in the 845 page final report.”
Nehls declared in his tweet, “I’ve examined the 845-page January 6 report. Trump: mentioned 4,207 times. Ray Epps: mentioned 0 times.”
“It was never about the truth,” Nehls insisted.

Trump: mentioned 4,207 times.
Ray Epps: mentioned 0 times.
It was never about the truth.
In a subsequent tweet, Nehls reiterated, “The January 6 Sham Committee was NEVER about finding out the truth.”
“It was ALWAYS about keeping Donald Trump off the ballot in 2024. Everyone knows it,” Nehls added.

It was ALWAYS about keeping Donald Trump off the ballot in 2024.
Everyone knows it.
In his tweet yesterday, Massie shared a January article from the Washington Examiner that reported that the committee’s Chairman Bennie Thompson said that the transcript would be released “at some point.”
“January 6th committee to adjourn without fulfilling year old promise to release Epps transcript,” Massie lamented in the tweet.
Earlier in January, as we reported, Massie had responded to a claim from the U.S. House Rep Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) that Epps didn’t enter the Capitol on Jan. 6 and was removed from the list because “Apparently he broke no laws.”
In a video from Jan. 5, 2021, in Washington D.C., Epps was seen urging a crowd that they needed to go into the Capitol on Jan. 6. The crowd was not receptive to the idea and chanted “Fed” at Epps.
