Jeanine Pirro Asks Isn’t It ‘Democracy’ For the States and the People to Decide the So-Called ‘Right’ to Abortion?

Judge Jeanine Pirro weighed in earlier on the Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe vs. Wade in a tweet.

Pirro asked isn’t it “Democracy” for the states and the people to decide the so-called “right” to an abortion?

“The Supreme Court did not take away the so-called ‘right’ to abortion – they left it up to the states and the people to decide. Isn’t that democracy?”

Governors are now making their intentions clear on how they want abortion to be regulated or not or banned in their state.

California Dem Gov. Gavin Newsom declared earlier in a tweet, “Abortion is legal in California. It will remain that way.”

“I just signed a bill that makes our state a safe haven for women across the nation,” Newsom explained.

Newsom then insisted, “We will not cooperate with any states that attempt to prosecute women or doctors for receiving or providing reproductive care.”

Virginia GOP Gov Glenn Youngkin, on the other hand, announced his support for a 15-week abortion ban following the ruling.

Thirteen states reportedly had trigger bans, laws that were written to take effect either immediately, by state official certification, or after a 30-day waiting period, if Roe vs. Wade were to be overturned.

Trigger laws are already in effect in several states, including Arkansas, Missouri, and South Dakota, while sixteen states and the District of Columbia currently have laws that protect the “so-called” right to abortion.
