Following yesterday’s mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado, the state that GOP U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert represents, she offered condolences to the victims and all those affected.
Boebert tweeted, “As we continue to hear the news coming out of Boulder, I’m praying for the police, first responders, and those affected by this tragedy. May God be with us as we make sense of this senseless violence, and may we unify and not divide during this time.”
Sports reporter Jemele Hill, wasn’t impressed, however, and tweeted out a picture of a 2A display that Boebert had previously used as a Zoom background during a House meeting and asked, “This you?”

Hill wasn’t the only one who was critical of Boebert, despite there having been several mass shootings in the state prior to her arrival to Congress.
Left-wing economist David Rothschild replied to her tweet in a two part tweet where he was critical of her offering prayers, accused her and Republicans of wanting mass shootings, and demanded that guns be regulated to supposedly prevent these incidents.
Rothschild began, “We don’t need G-d to make sense of this for US: you want mass shootings, so we get mass shootings.”
“We should regulate guns like cars: require a license to buy/own/operate a gun, insurance, register guns, limit magazine sizes. There are easy, sensible ways to ends mass shootings in US, but the Republican death cult chooses not to, because they like mass shootings,” Rothschild added.

It remains unclear if any of those things would have helped much in this instance, but liberals like Hill and Rothschild clearly never miss an opportunity to take advantage of a tragedy.
Police have identified 21-year-old Ahmad Al-Issa as the suspect in the shooting.
