The Associated Press has disavowed an attack on the Gaza Strip by Israel that blew up a building they were working out of. It is reported that they got out in time after being given an hour’s notice. Many are still furious, including Al Jazeera, who was also in the building.
Although the United States Government generally takes the side of Israel, it is reported that President Joe Biden spoke to Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu about the attack, and although tones are muted, we are speculating that the U.S. is not thrilled about the attack.
There are many mixed reactions from citizens of the U.S. and other nations about the events unfolding. Meanwhile, Jen Psaki recently tweeted this out:
“We have communicated directly to the Israelis that ensuring the safety and security of journalists and independent media is a paramount responsibility.”

AP issued an official statement and also posted many other things on Twitter regarding the incident:
“The owner of a Gaza high-rise housing the AP and other media outlets says he has received a call from the Israeli military that the building would be targeted. The man said he was told to make sure all residents have evacuated.
