Jen Psaki Contradicts Previous Report, Claims Joe Biden is a Night Owl Who ‘Does Nothing at 9 a.m.’

In a roundtable discussion today on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” former White House press secretary Jen Psaki contradicted a previous report.

Psaki claimed that Joe Biden is a night owl who typically “does nothing at 9 a.m.” without receiving any pushback from the others seated at the table.

According to a 2021 report from CNN, “unlike his most recent predecessors – night owls who spent the dark hours reading briefing materials (President Barack Obama) or watching television (President Donald Trump) – Biden is more of an early-to-bed type.”

It seems pretty clear that Biden isn’t one who is typically awake late at night as he has given no indication that would be the case.

“Now it’s important to note that President Biden does nothing at 9 a.m., he is a night owl, so the fact that he is doing this at 9 a.m. anyway, speaks to how vital the White House recognizes it is for him to have his voice out there conveying that to the American public,” Psaki insisted today.

Psaki was referencing an address that Biden gave this morning after a shaky weekend that saw multiple banks collapse.

As we previously reported, Biden today attempted to reassure Americans, while U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is defiant amid the crisis.

In a tweet today, Boebert put it bluntly, “No bank bailouts.”

In a tweet last night, Boebert unloaded as she said, “On a briefing with Biden Under Secretary of the Treasury Nellie Liang regarding the SVB BAILOUT they are working towards and a member asked if they were reaching out to Facebook and Twitter to monitor misinformation and ‘bad actors.’”

“And this administration AGAIN just committed the federal government to interfere with free speech. Unacceptable!” Boebert declared.

In his remarks this morning, Biden said from the White House that, “Americans can rest assured that our banking system is safe.”

“Your deposits are safe. Let me also assure you, we will not stop at this. We’ll do whatever is needed,” Biden insisted.

Yesterday, the federal government said that all depositors at Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank will be protected and be able to get access to their money Monday morning.

The funds would come from a “special fund” set up by the nation’s banks and from the sale of the banks’ assets, rather than from taxpayers they assured.

Biden sought to reassure Americans that would be the case as he repeated, “No losses will be borne by the taxpayers.”
