Attorney General William Barr tapped out at the last minute and decided to apparently not get aggressive in pursuing President Trump’s election fraud claims. Arguably this has led to the announcement of Barr’s resignation, which was likely closer to a firing if we had to speculate.
But while lame-duck Barr awaits the day Jeff Rosen takes over temporarily, he decided to throw a few spike strips under the Trump campaign’s anti-Hunter Biden momentum, announcing there will be no special counsel investigation if he has anything to do with it.
Time will tell if the special counsel investigation speculations reignite once Barr makes his official exit. Meanwhile, even weak Republican US Senator Lindsey Graham (SC) has made it clear that he wants more investigation into Hunter Biden and his alleged tax fraud situation.
Trump loyalist and Attorney Jenna Ellis hit back at Barr, telling him he should sit down now since he did enough of that already.
“Maybe you should sit down now, Bill. You certainly did enough sitting down on the job.”

We previously reported on Barr’s resignation:
It is being reported that Attorney General Bill Barr is resigning from his post. Many Republicans didn’t think Bill Barr did enough to help President Trump contest what the campaign saw as election fraud as well as a mass mail in campaign by the Democrats that the GOP did not agree with.
Nevertheless, the Supreme Court has not been favorable of the Trump campaign’s contests of it so far, despite many legal attempts. Today Republican electors in some states are voting for President Trump anyway, despite most outlets reporting that Joe Biden has officially won.
We’ll continue to update on this situation if it substantially develops.
