Hollywood actor Jim Carrey tweeted out yesterday that he believes Mitch McConnell is worse than Osama Bin Laden, who was believed to be responsible for the thousands of American deaths on 9/11/2001. The actor who is known for playing in ‘Ace Ventura, Pet Detective‘, ‘The Truman Show‘, ‘Me Myself and Irene‘, and ‘Dumb and Dumber‘ has come a long way from his more carefree days.
The timing here is pretty rough considering that the 18th anniversary of that dreadful day (9/11/2001) is coming up in just a few days. Carrey, an avid Trump-hater, as can be seen easily by his public statements and Twitter account, insinuated that Republican Senate Majority Leader McConnell is far worse because he doesn’t feel he has done enough to prevent mass shootings.
“10,000 gun deaths in 2019 and the year is far from over. What Osama bin Laden did to us was terrible but he doesn’t hold a candle to Mitch McConnell.”

Star Political reports:
Carrey’s tweet comes after the Gun Violence Archive issued a report saying there had been 10,118 gun deaths in the U.S. in 2019. In 2018, about 14,000 people died in gun-related incidents other than suicides, The Hill has reported, citing CDC figures. In 1993, gun deaths not counting suicides were reported at 18,253.
What people fail to mention when pointing out these statistics is most of these gun deaths are attributed to gang violence in the inner cities. Yet, the Mayors and Governers of these Democrat-run cities want to lecture the rest of the country on gun control.
The Daily Caller also had this to say:
Carrey has come under fire for many of his paintings and tweets aimed at members of the Trump administration, such as a “monstrous” portrait of former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, he tweeted out in 2018. Carrey has also been vocal about gun reform, tweeting out a disturbing photo of a dead school girl laying in a pool of blood on top of the American flag.
An example of some of the actor’s other tweets shown below depicts President Trump as a pig-like character and has some very unsavory words describing it. This image appears to be in reference to the movie “Charlotte’s Web’.

This comes days after liberal Whoopi Goldberg on The View actually stood up to another Hollywood icon, Debra Messing, for calling for names of attendees at a planned Beverly Hills Trump fundraiser to be revealed. Whoopi and Behar actually agreed that although they don’t like Trump, calling out his supporters by saying they should be exposed and that Messing and her co-star Eric McCormack won’t work with them is going too far. It will be interesting to see if they comment on Carrey’s words as well. Recently Mitch McConnell had a gang of protestors outside of his house yelling that he should be murdered, specifically people saying, ‘murder turtle’ over and over.

On the same day as Jim Carrey’s tweet comparing Mitch McConnell to one of the worst terrorists in modern history, MSNBC also talked about Mitch McConnell. Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough slammed McConnell on Russia and gun control, Joe calling him ‘Moscow Mitch’ multiple times in the same rant. Scarborough says “Just like Moscow Mitch won’t do anything to protect us from foreign enemies, he has been the one person that has killed every one of those bills to protect us from our domestic enemies that our gunning down our children every day. What’s his endgame? What’s his legacy? Where does it end? Who supports Moscow Mitch doing Vladimir Putin’s bidding and killing Republican bills to secure the homeland against Russian interference?” He then goes on and says, “Russia is invading this country”
