U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) today stated what many believe should be obvious, but has apparently come under fire lately.
Last week, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), introduced a bill to stop non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, from voting in local elections in Washington D.C.
Cruz’s bill is in response to the measure that passed last year that would allow non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to vote in local elections starting in 2024.
Jordan declared in a tweet, “Only American citizens should vote in American elections.”
The declaration by Jordan appeared to trigger some liberals, including former NBA coach who is now an analyst for TNT Stan Van Gundy.
Van Gundy asked Jordan in an apparently sarcastic response, “Do you think all American citizens are entitled to elected representation in Congress?”
Do you think all American citizens are entitled to elected representation in Congress?

Leftist comedian Brad Wollack appeared to be unaware of the fact that there are Democrat-run areas in the country that allow for noncitizens to vote as he wondered, “Who doesn’t agree with that?”
Who doesn’t agree with that?

It was also reported that in Vermont last week, the state Supreme Court ruled that non-citizen residents may continue to vote in municipal elections in the capital city of Montpelier.
The higher court upheld a lower court ruling and wrote, “The statute allowing noncitizens to vote in local Montpelier elections does not violate Chapter II, § 42 because that constitutional provision does not apply to local elections.”

No duh. We don’t need Republicans to tell us the obvious…we need them to prevent illegal aliens from voting. Or staying in America, for that matter.
He is right . FJB
Sure. Just wake me when we see the twitching, peeing bodies of politicians and multi-nationals in military nooses.
Deport them! FJB.
Saying they should not vote in our elections is NOT dropping the hammer. NOT allowing it is dropping the hammer.
Isn’t this just common sense that only citizens should vote. Otherwise, you have no country!
So what exactly is the problem with sending absentee ballots to Central and South America?
I mean, why the heck should someone in Nicaragua be denied the right to vote for a Democrat just because they can’t afford to pay the cartels to get here???
Unless I am incorrect is not illegal entry into America a felony? If it is than illegal aliens are automatically barred from voting because they are all felons.
