Sandwich Salesman Stephen Curry Refuses to Put His Woke Money Where His Democrat Mouth is, Reportedly Tries to Block Low Income Housing Near his Massive Mansion

NBA player and Subway sandwich slinger spokesman Stephen Curry has espoused his woke Democrat views on multiple occasions.

Curry endorsed now President Joe Biden for president and has constantly supported a political left wing narrative. One left wing narrative he apparently only supports on paper is allowing low income housing to built, at least not in his proverbial backyard.

Many left wing activists do so in our opinion because it’s lucrative to be woke, or at least they believe it to be. Sometimes woke pays and sometimes it doesn’t however, as we’ve seen time and time again.

Despite that, the leftward push for sports celebrities and Hollywood goobers continues, for better or for worse. Whether or not a majority of voters and consumers ultimately get weary of this remains to be seen however.

According to a report, the ball player and his wife Ayesha Curry are opposing 16 townhouses that are being planned near them.

The Currys sent a letter opposing the project, saying they had “major concerns in terms of both privacy and safety with three‐story townhomes looming directly behind us.” They asked the town, at minimum, to build taller fencing and landscaping to protect views into their property.

“As Atherton residents … we have been following along with the housing element updates with special interest in the 23 Oakwood property,” they wrote in a Jan. 18 letter to the town. “We hesitate to add to the ‘not in our backyard’ (literally) rhetoric, but we wanted to send a note before today’s meeting. Safety and privacy for us and our kids continues to be our top priority and one of the biggest reasons we chose Atherton as home.”

Almanac News also reported:

“We kindly ask that the town adopts the new housing element without the inclusion of 23 Oakwood,” the Currys wrote. “Should that not be sufficient for the state, we ask that the town commits to investing in considerably taller fencing and landscaping to block sight lines onto our family’s property.”

It seems (in our view) Curry doesn’t want savvy Subway customers near him, only paying him for his advertising from afar. Time will only tell how the battle plays out.
