U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) responded today after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a lawsuit accusing him of waging an intimidation campaign.
In a tweet, Jordan, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, pointed out, “First, they indict a president for no crime.”
“Then, they sue to block congressional oversight when we ask questions about the federal funds they say they used to do it,” Jordan lamented.
Conservative influencer DC Draino responded to Jordan’s tweet, “Sounds like Alvin Bragg believes he is above the law.”

According to Fox News, Bragg said in his lawsuit that he’s taking legal action “in response to an unprecedently brazen and unconstitutional attack by members of Congress on an ongoing New York State criminal prosecution and investigation of former President Donald J. Trump.”
Bragg seeks to invalidate subpoenas that Jordan has or plans to issue as part of an investigation of Bragg’s handling of the case against former President and 2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.
As we previously reported, Jordan has already issued a subpoena to former New York County Special Assistant District Attorney Mark Pomerantz to appear before the committee after he declined to appear voluntarily.
Jordan announced yesterday that he plans to hold a Judiciary Committee field hearing in Manhattan on Bragg’s policies.
Bragg responded to that announcement by insisting that crime has been lowered in Manhattan since he took office.
