U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) announced today a plan to hold a Judiciary Committee field hearing in Manhattan on Alvin Bragg’s policies.
In a tweet, Jordan declared, “Alvin Bragg’s radical pro-crime, anti-victim policies have led to an increase in violent crime in New York City.”
“Next week, the Judiciary Committee will examine these policies during a field hearing in Manhattan,” Jordan announced.
Jordan also shared a New York Post article that reported on the planned hearing, which reported that it will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, April 1.
The hearing will be held at Jacob Javits Federal Building, which is, as the NYP put it, just blocks from Bragg’s Lower Manhattan office and the courthouse where former President and 2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump was arraigned on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records last week.
According to a Post source, the hearing will examine “New York’s rampant crime and victims of Alvin Bragg,” which was essentially confirmed by Jordan in the tweet.

Last week as well, Jordan issued a subpoena to former New York County Special Assistant District Attorney Mark Pomerantz to appear before the committee after he declined to appear voluntarily.
In a statement responding to the subpoena, Bragg accused the House GOP of trying to undermine an active investigation with the subpoena of Pomerantz.
According to the Post, Jordan may invite Bragg to the field hearing, although it seems unlikely that he would accept such an invitation, in our view.

OMG! Jordan is going to hold another “Hearing”! Let me see, one on Hunter’s laptop, one on Biden’s bank statements, one on Afghanistan withdrawal, one on Bragg, but NONE on the horrible conditions of the J6 detainees or the corrupt J6 committee. No matter what they discover, nothing will be done to any of the criminals.
