Jim Jordan Zeros In After Hunter Biden Refuses to Testify Privately Before Two House Committees, Vows to Hold Him in Contempt

U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) responded today after Hunter Biden refused to testify privately before two House Committees.

Biden had been subpoenaed to appear for a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees.

After Biden gave a press conference in front of the U.S. Capitol, Jordan focused on some of the language that Biden used.

In a post to X, Jordan recounted various statements that were given in the past related to connections between Hunter Biden and his father, Joe Biden:

  • “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.” -Joe Biden, 2019
  • β€œThe President was never in business with his son.” – @PressSec, July 2023
  • β€œMy father was not involved 𝐟𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐒𝐚π₯π₯𝐲 in my business.” -Hunter Biden, today

Jordan then insisted, “The story keeps changing!”

Jordan also vowed in a later interview, “We think he should come in, and so if he doesn’t, we will move forward with contempt proceedings, there’s a process we have to follow, but we plan to do that.”
