Fox News radio host Jimmy Failla today mocked the news that Joe Biden is set to visit El Paso, Texas on Sunday.
It will be the first time that Biden has visited the southern border since occupying the White House in Jan. 2020.
Failla jested in the tweet, “Don’t get too excited, Republicans. When Biden was asked if he’d make a run for the border he thought they meant Taco Bell.”

El Paso is one of the areas most overwhelmed by the border crisis and Biden is expected to assess border enforcement operations and meet with local officials.
Democrat Mayor Oscar Leeser declared a state of emergency in the middle of December which gave city authorities the resources and ability to shelter illegal immigrants who have crossed the Mexican border.
Biden’s visit comes as the DHS announced today that it would introduce a rule that would make illegal immigrants ineligible for asylum if they “circumvent available, established pathways to lawful migration” and do not claim asylum in a country through which they traveled to get to the U.S.
Additionally, Biden announced an expansion of a humanitarian parole program that will allow 30,000 individuals a month from four countries to be paroled into the U.S. for a two-year period as long as they have a financial sponsor and pass other conditions.
Venezuelan nationals along with Haitians, Cubans, and Nicaraguans would be eligible for the program, except for those who attempt to enter illegally.
In an interview yesterday, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged that the number of encounters is “straining our system.”
