Juanita Broaddrick Questions the Veracity of Elon Musk’s Endorsement of Kevin McCarthy: ‘Are You Messing with Us to See Our Responses?’

On Thursday, Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk endorsed Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House tweeting, “Kevin McCarthy should be Speaker”. Juanita Broaddrick questioned Musk’s tweet asking, “Are you messing with us to see our responses?”

After seeing the replies to his original tweet Musk asked a question, “Subtle, but I am beginning to suspect opinions differ on this matter … If not McCarthy, then seriously who?”

Shortly after asking the question, Musk then added a poll, “Elon Musk should” the choices read, “Stay out of politics” and “Keep shooting his feet”.

Many others questioned Musk on Twitter as well:

Twitter user @catturd2 retorted, “Kevin McCarthy only cares about his donors, lobbyists and the Washington D.C sewer. He’s the perfect example of everything that’s wrong with our country.”

Comedian and Fox News commentator Jimmy Failla shared, “Twitter needs a button called ‘Who Asked You'”.

Twitter user @ethan_harsell shared a clip of Tucker Carlson sharing his opinion on what McCarthy is doing “Tucker: ‘Kevin Mccarthy can step aside and let somebody else do the job, acknowledging in the process that he’s not the only person in congress capable of being speaker, or he can try and win over the people who oppose him.. That is not what McCarthy’s team is doing.'”

Some users told Musk to stay quiet while others lauded him for sharing his opinion.

Former Congresswoman Mayra Flores responded to Musk’s poll with, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That’s the beauty of this great country.”

Musk shared an opinion that it seems many Twitter users don’t agree with, but it seems the replies aren’t all bashing him, but many only trying to “educate” him on why they disagree. This one could argue is the Twitter Musk wanted, an exchange of ideas.
