Joe Biden recently tested positive for Covid-19, and apparently recovered in around a week or so.
He appeared to take a potshot at Donald Trump recently, seemingly implying he might be healthier than the former president.
Unfortunately, Biden has tested positive again after testing negative for consecutive days. This means his isolation period has to start over. Joe Biden is not reported to be having symptoms, but the White House doctor says the “strict isolation procedure” will be in effect anyway.
Biden is double vaccinated, and double boosted. He received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. We wish Biden a fast recovery. It’s probably not a good idea, however, in our view, to brag about recovery time when things such as this can happen.
It’s unclear if this will affect Biden or VP Kamala Harris’ moral, or if it will change how he sees his overall health.
Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again.
— President Biden (@POTUS) July 30, 2022
This happens with a small minority of folks.
I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me.
I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon.
From CNBC in part:
The president tested negative for Covid on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but tested positive on Saturday morning from an antigen test. “This in fact represents ‘rebound’ positivity,” the doctor wrote.
Biden’s age puts him at higher risk of getting severely ill from Covid. People over age 65 account for more than 81% of deaths from the virus, which has killed more than 1 million people in the U.S. alone, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Biden first popped positive on July 21, 2022.
