Joe Biden Boasts That he Used to Go to Catholic Church Early in the Morning Before Going to the ‘Black’ Church

In a speech at Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta today, Joe Biden boasted that he used to go to Catholic church early in the morning before going to the “black” church.

The crowd didn’t appear to take offense to the statement that Biden made, however, as everyone appeared to laugh, although he told them it wasn’t a joke.

“I may be a practicing Catholic, but I used to go to 7:30 mass every morning in high school and then in college, before I went to the black church — Not a joke!” Biden insisted.

Conservatives called out Biden, expecting that he would make a wild claim like that at some point throughout the weekend.

“Thebradfordfile” noted in a tweet, “It’s MLK weekend, where Biden can claim he grew up going to a black church and the media pretends all of this is normal.”

Juanita Broaddrick reported, “Biden on his way to Atlanta to deliver Civil Rights remarks at Dr. King’s Church.”

“Wonder if he’ll tell a tall story about marching and getting arrested with Dr King …. Like he did about Mandela?” Broaddrick predicted.

Sheriff David Clarke Jr. said of the visit, “This is a complete joke and a mockery by Biden of what Dr. King stood for.”

“King preached a colorblind society and Biden made his VP and SCOTUS pick based exclusively on skin color. He excluded white candidates. He slapped Dr. King in the face,” Clarke Jr. explained.

In 2020, the Washington Free Beacon published an article that reported that longtime congregants told them they didn’t recall Biden attending a “black” church that he had claimed he had attended when he was younger.
