Joe Biden today made an outrageous claim that “inflation was rising” when he became president and was brutally fact-checked.
A reporter asked Biden, “Do you take any blame for inflation?” to which he repeated the question and declared, “No”
“Why not?” the reporter pressed. “Because it was already here when I got here, man,” Biden insisted.
“Remember what the economy was like when I got here? Jobs were hemorrhaging, inflation was rising, we weren’t manufacturing a damn thing here,” Biden added.
U.S. House Rep Byron Donalds shared a clip of Biden’s claim in a tweet and reported, “Joe Biden refuses to take responsibility for record inflation under his watch.”
“FACT: Inflation is now 500 percent higher than it was when Biden took office,” Donald pointed out.
